It started with my dad buying me a RadioShack soldering iron when I was a kid, and me immediately burning my hand with it.

With early interests in both electronics and music, it seems inevitable that I would end up finding a passion in repairing and restoring vintage electronic instruments.

My hero’s are the SF Bay area engineers like Roger Linn, Dave Smith, and Tom Oberheim, who along with other engineers and the musicians who used their products collectively shaped the last several decades of music.

It’s been a while since I’ve burned my hands on a soldering iron, but the simple fascination with how electricity can produce music and all the complicated ways that 30+ year-old electronic components can fail keeps me moving forward and exploring.
